her work as an actor has been seen on broadway, national tour,  regionally, and on television.

she gravitates towards generating new work, and maintaining long-time collaborators.

as a solo performer, she's written and performed works that explore the palestinian diaspora, neurodivergence, mental illness, and trapping white american playwrights named david in a room.  her solo show ten days ago is in development at the brown arts institute, where she is a two-time artist grant recipient.

layan is in her final year of training in the brown university/trinity rep mfa acting program.

besides acting and solo performance, she can usually be found reading, writing, and being outdoors.  otherwise, you can find her hyperfixating on neiche corners of somatics and polyvagal theory tik tok, and believing she can teach herself to do anything with a youtube video.
